Version 2024.2.2 release notes

We released version 2024.2.2 on August 15, 2024 with the following changes.
On July 9, 2024, Microsoft ended support for SQL Server 2014 and earlier. Therefore, your firm needs to have SQL Server 2016 or higher installed on the servers that run Accounting CS.
note
  • This change doesn’t affect firms using Accounting CS on Virtual Office or Software as a Service (SaaS).
  • We’re providing several reminders and alerts if you haven’t yet upgraded to SQL Server 2016 or higher in the following ways:
    • A message displays when you open the application.
    • A message displays in red text in the bottom right corner of the application.
    • A message displays when you try to open CS Connect.

Federal

We added the ability to electronically file Form 941-X via MeF by using the Electronic filing method for tax year 2024 and later. (Idea Incubator #5042)
note
  • If you previously electronically filed Form 941 for the specified tax period through Accounting CS, there's no additional charge for filing the corrected Form 941.
  • If the original Form 941 for the specified tax period wasn't electronically filed through Accounting CS, there is a charge of $14 per electronically filed return unless you're licensed for the 94x Unlimited Electronic Filing Module.

Alabama

We updated the direct deposit information required to produce an ACH credit file for the
Alabama Department of Revenue
 tax agent.
