We released version 2024.3.0 on September 26, 2024 for firms using Virtual Office CS and Software as a Service (SaaS). This update was made available for all firms on September 27, 2024.

Due to the required installation of some Microsoft components, the update of Accounting CS to v.2024.3.0 may require a restart during the Desktop Setup process.
We strongly recommend that you save and close any work in progress before updating to v.2024.3.0.
General
On July 9, 2024, Microsoft ended support for SQL Server 2014. Therefore, as of this release, your firm must have SQL Server 2016 SP3 or higher installed on the servers that run Accounting CS.

This change doesn’t affect firms using Accounting CS on Virtual Office or Software as a Service (SaaS).
We’re providing several alerts if you haven’t yet upgraded to SQL Server 2016 SP3 or higher in the following ways:
An alert displays when you open the application.
An alert displays when you attempt to open CS Connect.
A message displays in red text in the bottom right corner of the application.
We updated how the printer selections in the
Printers
tab of the
User Preferences
window are recalled for firms using Accounting CS on Virtual Office CS or Software as a Service (SaaS).
Integration with WorkforceHub, powered by Swipeclock
We added the ability to push pay items and accruable benefit items as Punch Categories to WorkforceHub (Advanced) and WorkforceHub (Plus) from Accounting CS.
When integration is enabled for a client, existing pay items and accruable benefit items are automatically pushed, and new pay items and accruable benefit items will be automatically pushed when they are created.
Federal
We added the ability to electronically file Forms 943-X and 945-X via MeF using the
Electronic
filing method for tax year 2023 and later.

If you previously electronically filed a client’s original Form 943 or Form 945 for a specified tax year through Accounting CS, there is no additional charge for electronically filing the corresponding amended return.
If the client’s original Form 943 or Form 945 for the specified tax year wasn't electronically filed through Accounting CS, there's a charge of $14 per electronically filed amended return unless you're licensed for the 94x Unlimited Electronic Filing Module.
We added the ability to electronically file the following Form 1099 types, both original and corrected submissions, via IRIS (Information Return Intake System) for tax year 2024. (Idea Incubator #8437)
