Version 2024.4.2 release notes

We released version 2024.4.2 on January 23, 2025 with the following changes.

Workpapers CS

We updated the Tax Return type engagement binder templates for the 2024 tax year.

The engagement binder templates include predefined tax-related folders that are created for new tax engagements, when added in the Engagement Binders screen with
Tax Return
 selected in the
Type
 field and either
UltraTax CS
 or
GoSystem Tax
 selected in the
Source
field.

Federal

  • We added the ability to electronically file the following Form 1099 types, both original and corrected submissions, via IRIS (Information Return Intake System) for tax year 2024: (Idea Incubator #8437)
    • 1098-C
    • 1099-C
note
  • The charge to electronically file a Federal 1099 form sent via CS Connect is $14 per client per form type per tax year unless you're licensed for the 1099 Unlimited Electronic Filing Module.
  • If the client’s original Federal 1099 form for a specified tax year is electronically filed through Accounting CS, there's not an additional charge for filing the corresponding Corrected 1099 form.

Kansas

The Kansas Department of Labor has provided further clarification on the new Unemployment IDs that are now being issued to employers. New employers will receive an ID formatted as 10-#####-000. Therefore, we updated the application to accept either the 6-digit or new 10-digit Unemployment IDs formatted as ######, 0######000, or 10-#####-000.

Kentucky

  • We added the following forms:

    • Occupational Tax Administrator, City of Hazard – Form Annual
  • The following forms are pending approval:
    • Fayette County Public Schools – Form 222-S
    • Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government – Form 222

Ohio

  • We added the following taxes to the Regional Income Tax Agency (RITA) tax agent:
    • Bainbridge Twp. Aurora JEDD Tax
    • Hamersville City Tax
  • We added the following taxes to the Regional Income Tax Agency (RITA) tax agent and removed them from their existing tax agents:
    • Dresden City Tax
  • The following forms are pending approval:
    • Central Collection Agency (CCA) – Forms CCA-102 and CCA-W3
    • City of Cincinnati Income Tax Division – Form W-3
    • Columbus City Treasurer – Forms IT-13 and IT-13J

Pennsylvania

  • We updated the form filing addresses on the following tax agents:
    • Capital Tax Collection Bureau – EIT

Rhode Island

  • The following forms are now approved:
    • Form RI-W3

Vermont

We addressed an issue with Form WHT-436 where, in certain circumstances, line calculations weren't always being correctly rounded to the nearest whole dollar.
