Fix decimals in a report

Follow these steps to fix misaligned decimals in a report.

Select File
, then Report Designer
.

Select the +
next to the document type folder.

Double-click the report to open it.

Save a backup (recommended):

Select File
, then Save As
.

Give your report a new name.

In the design grid, select a cell with misaligned numbers.

Select Format
, Cells
, then the Format
tab.

Verify that the format is different than the other cells in the column.

Select Amount
in the Category list.

Select the Negative amounts
option that matches other cells in the column.

Select File
, then Save As
.

Preview or print your report to make sure everything lines up.
