Apply settings for Client Access users
After you enable Accounting CS Client Access for a client and set up security groups, you can enter the rest of the information needed to set up client staff members in Client Access.
For each of your client's members that will use Accounting CS Client Access:
- In Accounting CS, selectSetupfrom the main menu.
- Go toFirm Informationand selectClient Staff.
- SelectAddto create a new client staff member, or find and select an existing staff member in the list and selectEdit.
- In the Main tab, enter the identification and contact information. You'll need to at least enter anID, theirLastname andEmailto create a new NetClient CS portal for them.
- If this staff member already has a NetClient CS account, select the ellipsis
for Accountin the NetClient CS Access section. Find the staff member's NetClient CS login ID and mark the checkbox, then selectOK. - In the NetClient CS Access section, select the data location profile from theProfiledrop-down list.
- Select a unique data location profile for this individual only, or
- Select a data location for the client that multiple staff members of that client will use. This allows them to share and collaborate in files and applications outside of Accounting CS.

next to Profile to view a list of accounts and client staff members that have access to that data location profile. - MarkEnable FileCabinet CSand/orEnable Microsoft Officeif you'd like to give this staff member access to Microsoft Office applications and/or FileCabinet CS.
- Go to the Security tab and mark all security groups that apply to this staff member.
- Go to theClient Accesstab.
- Use the grid to find the client, or clients, this staff member should have access to. Mark the checkbox in theAllowcolumn to give them access.If you can't find the client in the grid, you likely don't have Client Access Services enabled for the client.
- selectEnterto save the Client Staff record.
Staff members that already had an existing NetClient CS account should see the clients the next time they sign in and open Accounting CS Client Access. If you set up a new client staff member, they'll get a registration email for them to set up their new NetClient CS portal.

There is a
Resend Registration Email
option on the Main tab of the Client staff screen if they accidentally deleted it or never received it.
