Grant client staff access to client records

To grant client staff members access to specific client records in Accounting CS Client Access, follow these steps:
  1. Go to
    Setup
    >
    Firm Information
    >
    Client Staff
    .
  2. Select the
    Client Access
    tab.
  3. In the
    Client Access Selections
section, select the ID from the Client Staff list then select
    Edit
    .
  4. In the grid, mark the checkboxes next to each client record you want to grant access to for that staff member.
    note
    • Accounting CS and Accounting CS Client Access use a shared database. Therefore, both applications will need to be run in a hosted environment, either through Virtual Office CS, Software as a Service, or your firm’s own hosting.
    • Client staff members assigned to a security group can only perform tasks allowed for that group, as specified under
      Setup
      >
      Firm Information
      >
      Client Staff
      >
      Security
      tab.
    • The grid on the Client Access tab includes columns for Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable services. These columns are marked based on services listed in
      Setup
      >
      Clients
      >
      Main
tab. A ($) symbol indicates an additional charge for the service. However, if you enable the Client Accounting service with Check Writing, AP, and AR or the Full Service Bundle, there's no extra charge for these modules despite the ($) indicator.
