Some businesses prefer addresses in all capital letters. Address verification in Accounting CS helps ensure accuracy and proper tax calculations. Sometimes, the system changes addresses entered in all capital letters to mixed case during verification.
Follow these steps to keep addresses in all capital letters while still benefiting from address verification for tax purposes.
Enter the address
- Enter the address in all capital letters.
- Verify the address by using TAB after entering the city and state.
- WhenAddress Difference Founddisplays, selectUse the suggested address to determine applicable taxes only.
- SelectOK. The address (except county) stays in all capital letters.
If the Address Difference Found message doesn't appear

message doesn't appearThis happens when the address isn't specific enough. Try this solution:
- Use a nearby address in the same tax area that will verify correctly.
- Remove words likeStreetorBoulevard.
- Try verification again.
- WhenAddress Difference Founddisplays, selectUse the suggested address to determine applicable taxes only.
- SelectOK.
- Enter the correct street address in all capital letters.
- Don't re-verify the address.
Example
- Enter124 AZTEC BOWL, SAN DIEGO, CA.
- If it doesn't verify, try the nearby address6115 MONTEZUMA, SAN DIEGO, CA(leaving outROAD).
- When prompted, selectUse suggested address for taxes only.
- SelectEditand change the address back to124 AZTEC BOWL.
- Save without re-verifying.
