Event tracking
Event tracking in Accounting CS monitors important changes in your firm's database. It records:
- Date and time of the event
- Staff member who made the change
- Affected client
- Action taken
- Item changed
- Specific details of changes (in some cases)
How to use it
Event tracking is on by default. To check, go to tab. Make sure
Disable event tracking
is clear.note
Turning off event tracking stops the system from logging new events, but keeps existing history.
- View events: Go tab.noteYou can let clients view employee-related events.
- Filter events: You can filter events by action, client, date, item, or staff to narrow the results. Select a filter to see events in the grid.
- Tracking: The system tracks changes to clients, employees, GL accounts, payroll checks, banks, billing invoices, files, electronic forms, workpapers, and client access notifications.
- Find specific events: You can find specific events in the following locations:

- View transaction-specific events: Go to tab for each transaction type.
