Set preferences for your firm
As a firm administrator or approved staff member, you can set firm-wide preferences in tab.
Firm security
To use Workpapers or to turn on Accounting CS Client Access clients, you'll need to turn on firm security.
- MarkEnable firm securityto require passwords and set staff user rights.noteWithout firm security turned on, staff can access all areas without signing in.
- MarkRemember login informationto let staff save sign-in information on their computers.
- Restart the application to access all security screens.
Data entry confirmation
- Select
in the Data Entry Confirmation section. - Mark the checkboxes to set which fields need confirmation during data entry.

Employee requirements
- MarkRequire Hire datato require entry of hire dates for new employee records.
- MarkPrompt when EIN/SSN is blank or "Applied For"to get warnings for missing Employer ID or Social Security numbers.
