Set up your firm's client staff
You can use the
Main
tab of the Client Staff
screen to enter identification and contact information for the client staff, and to set up NetClient CS access information for staff of the client company.- Go toSetup>Firm Information>Client Staff. TheMaintab displays by default.
- Identification entry: Enter the ID, EIN or SSN, name, and title of the staff member. To add a photo, select the picture icon and select an image (.BMP, .GIF, JPEG, .JPEG, .PNG, .ICO, EMF, or .WMF).
- Mark theInactivecheckbox if the staff member is no longer active. This removes them from staff assignment lists.
- Enter the staff member's address in the Addresses section. Use theAddress Verificationbutton to enter city, state, and ZIP Code.
- SelectSelectionand mark theMailing addresscheckbox for the primary address from the following options:
- Business
- Home
- Other
- Enter phone and fax numbers. SelectSelectionto add multiple numbers.
- Enter an email address and website URL. An email address is required to initialize the NetClient CS portal. Enter the email address to use when sending the initial Welcome message. Once information has been entered, selectingEmailopens your default email client with this address in theTOline, and selectingWebsiteautomatically opens the specified website using your default browser.
- Set up NewClient CS Access:
- Account: Displays the client's NetClient CS sign-in ID. To associate the client staff to an existing NetClient CS account, select the ellipsis next to theAccountfield. In theNetClient User Accountscreen, mark the checkbox then selectOK.
- Profile: Select the NetClient CS data location profile from the dropdown.
- ($) Enable FileCabinet CS: To provide the selected client staff with access to FileCabinet CS in the NetClient CS portal, mark this checkbox. (A monthly fee applies.)
- ($) Enable Microsoft Office: To provide the selected client staff with access to Microsoft Office application, such as Word 2010, Outlook 2010, PowerPoint 2010, and Excel 2010 in the NetClient CS portal, mark this checkbox. (A monthly fee applies.)
- Resend Registration Email: If you need to resend the account activation email message to your client (for example, if the message is placed in the spam folder, or the client accidentally deletes the message), you can mark theResend Registration Emailcheckbox to have NetClient CS resend the email to the client.noteAfter a NetClient CS portal is created, theResend Registration Emailbutton becomes not available. If the client staff member forgets the password, there is aForgot password?link on the sign in page to retrieve the password.
