ACH/EFT payment information
The Nebraska Department of Revenue accepts EFT Credit and EFT Debit payments of withholding taxes.
  • Employers who withheld more than $5,000.00 over the "lookback period" are required to pay via Electronic Fund Transmission (EFT).
  • Employers who withheld less than the mandatory threshold amount can file via EFT voluntarily.
The Nebraska Department of Revenue does not require EFT users to apply for approval before submitting tax payment files. They do require a test transmission of $0.01 prior to making any ACH-Credit payments.
