User access and permissions

Audit Intelligence units are managed at the firm level, meaning all users within a firm share the same unit pool. Understanding how entitlement, administrator access, and unit status work helps you make the most of your Audit Intelligence access.

Firm-level access

Audit Intelligence units are purchased and managed at the firm level. All users in the firm share access to the same unit pool. Individual users don't have separate unit allocations.

Administrator access requirements

Firm administrators can:
  • View the unit balance and usage history at
    Setup
    AI Analyze
    Unit Balance
    .
  • Set permissions so that other users can view unit balance information.
  • Customize notification settings for low balance and expiration warnings.

Experience based on unit status

Your experience in Audit Intelligence varies depending on your firm's current unit status:
  • No units purchased:
    The
    Analytics
    tab shows a
    Learn more about AI Analyze
link and a contact form to reach the sales team.
  • Units purchased but the balance is 0:
An insufficient units error appears. Contact your administrator or sales representative to purchase more units.
  • Expired units:
Expired units are removed from the balance. The experience is the same as having a 0 unit balance. The
    Unit Balance
screen shows expired batches in the history.
Internal use only

Support: Verify firm access

Follow this verification process to verify whether a firm has Audit Intelligence access.
  1. Check EMS.
    1. Look up the firm by FirmID.
    2. Check for an active Audit Intelligence Analyze license (product code:
      AUDITINT
      ).
    3. Verify the Engagement Manager license is active, as it's a prerequisite.
  2. If not found in EMS, check SAP S/4HANA.
    • Audit Intelligence entitlements can be sold and managed through SAP S/4HANA.
    • If the
      AUDITINT
product code isn't in EMS, contact a Customer Service Consultant to verify the entitlement in SAP S/4HANA.
    • Customer Service has access to SAP S/4HANA and can verify licensing status.
  3. Verify no license.
    1. Verify no active Audit Intelligence license only after checking both EMS and SAP S/4HANA.
    2. In this case, direct the firm to contact their sales representative to purchase units.
important
Always check both systems before verifying a firm doesn't have access. Entitlements may exist in SAP S/4HANA even if they're not visible in EMS.
