More information about the retirement of Calendar Classic

Calendar Classic
 retirement date

ONESOURCE Calendar Classic (standalone) will be retired on March 31, 2026.
Once the retirement date has been reached, access to the product will end and historic data will no longer be available.
To continue using ONESOURCE Calendar capabilities, customers can subscribe to the new ONESOURCE Calendar. ONESOURCE Calendar Classic events are not automatically moved to the new version. Customers can move to the new version on their own or talk with our Professional Services team.

The standalone version of ONESOURCE Calendar Classic isn't supported anymore as of March 31, 2025. You'll still get tax law updates after this date. However, we won't be able to troubleshoot any reporting or product problems you find.

The full OWM suite will continue to be fully supported as we build out the NextGen of Workflow. Watch out for more information about Workflow.

Options to move to the new calendar

You can move to the new ONESOURCE Calendar product on your own. Many customers have implemented the new ONESOURCE Calendar product themselves, but if you prefer, our Professional Services team can help. Contact your account team for available options.
Moving to the new ONESOURCE Calendar varies in complexity. The number of events and how you use Classic will determine the effort. Contact our Professional Services team to understand what might be involved.
You can move now. Our new version of ONESOURCE Calendar has been actively in use since 2020.
You can still use ONESOURCE Calendar Classic while transitioning to the new product. You'll have access until its retirement date of March 31, 2026. We recommend you limit access once you've made the switch so that users don’t inadvertently update old data.

New features and functionality

Reporting
ONESOURCE Calendar features interactive dashboards highlighting key metrics, as well as APIs for custom reports through integration with your own tools.
Certified Mail feature
The new ONESOURCE Calendar no longer has the certified mail capability tied directly to the product. From now on, you can utilize the current vendor's site directly to print the certified mail forms. This is the same vendor from whom you order the certified mail forms today. There is no additional cost.
There are a couple options to do this:
  • Add all current addresses directly to the vendor's site. then select and print the addresses from their site to print certified mail forms.
  • Add Classic event addresses to custom fields in ONESOURCE Calendar. Export and import address files into the vendor's system to print certified mailers.
  • Use APIs to automate this process. Use the vendor's APIs to print the forms by extracting data from the new API-enabled ONESOURCE Calendar.
The best approach depends on how often you print the forms. Our team can discuss this in more detail if you can provide insight into your process.

The support process and team is the same for both Classic and our Next Gen.

Tax law updates

Content updates will continue for ONESOURCE Calendar Classic until its retirement in March 2026.

ONESOURCE Calendar training

We do recommend Passport or Dedicated training for users. While the new ONESOURCE Calendar is more intuitive, it's best to set up for success.
