Document retention for deleted documents
With release V7.35.0.0 - March 2026, the hard delete feature for soft deleted documents has been automatically enabled across all Case Center instances. Each instance will use these default instance values:
- Days to Retain (30 days). This determines how long a soft deleted document remains in the database before it is permanently deleted.
- Max Documents to Delete (1000 documents). This is the maximum number of documents that can be hard deleted at the same time.
Both values can be overridden at the organization level and adjusted as needed. The Thomson Reuters support team can assist you with updating these settings.
