Create a timeline with key facts from Case Notebook

Complete these steps to create a timeline with
Key Facts from Case Notebook
:
  1. Install
    West Case Timeline
     on your system.
    You need
    West Case Timeline
     installed in order to send Key Facts from Case Notebook.
  2. Select
    Key Facts
    .
  3. Place a checkmark near the
    Key Facts
     selection you want to export or select the
    Select All Key Facts
     checkbox.
  4. Select
    Send
     and select an option:
    • West Case Timeline
    • West Case Timeline (with Sources)
       to send sources (full text and annotation).
  6. Select
    import
    ,
    open
    , or
    create
     a new one in the
    Event Import Wizard - Step 1 of 2
     in
    West Case Timeline
    .
  7. Select
    Next
    .
  8. Case Notebook Key Facts
     information maps as follows to
    Case Timeline
    :
    • Title - Event Name
    • Description - Notes
    • Start Date - Start Date
    • Start Time - Start Time
    • End Date - End Date
    • End Time - End Time
    • Sources - Sources
  9. Set up the imported and unmapped fields in
    Event Import Wizard – Step 2 of 2
     in
    West Case Timeline
     or create custom
    Timeline Columns
     by selecting
    New
    .
  10. Select
    Finish
    .
  11. Select
    Yes
     if you want to see the import results for the file.
  12. Key facts sent to Case Timeline are displayed on the Event Entry tab. The timeline can be viewed as an event entry, chart, or chronology by selecting the following tabs:
    • Event Entry
    • Chart
    • Chronology
