Use the Interactive Decision Tools in Checkpoint

Interactive Decision Tools guide you through the decision-making process with tax and accounting issues.
  1. Open
    Tools
    .
  2. Select
    Interactive Decision Tools
    .
  3. Open each source to see their available decision tools, and select the one you want to use.
    The checklist will open in a new window.
  4. Use
    Next
     to progress through the checklist and answer each question and field.
    • Some questions have additional guidance. Select these as needed for more information about a field, question, or phrase.
    • Some tools will tell you to calculate results from a series of questions during the interview. Select
      Need to Calculate
       to open the calculation worksheet. Complete any applicable fields and the results will show at the end of the form.
  5. Select
    Finish
     to see the results. To save your answers, select
    Save your answers to a Folder
    . Otherwise, select
    View the answer summary
     to print or export your answers.
