Search FASB Codification in Checkpoint
Edge

You can search FASB Codification by citation, title, number, or superseded standard. You can select the type of search you want and use the options on each search page to refine your search.
  1. Select
    Accounting, Audit & Corp Finance
     from the navigation bar.
  2. Select
    Citation and Other Search Tools
    .
    The Find FASB Codification Documents by Citation screen in the
    Find by Citation
     menu will open by default.
  3. Choose which submenu to use:
    • Find by Citation
       lets you search FASB Codification or Superseded Standards by citation only.
    • FASB Codification
       lets you search FASC Topic Title, FASC Number, FASC Pending, and Superseded Standards by title, number, or keyword.
    Find by Citation
     and
    FASB Codification
     are in the
    Citation and Other Search Tools
     menu.
  4. To search by citation, open the
    Find by Citation
     submenu.
    1. Select either
      FASB Codification
       or
      FASB Superseded Standards
       in the Find By Citation submenu.
    2. Choose which code or citation field to use, then enter your citation number.
    3. Select
      Search
       to see your results.
  5. To search by title, keyword, or number, open the
    FASB Codification
     submenu listed after Find by Citation.
    1. Choose
      FASC Topic Title
      ,
      FASC Number
      ,
      FASC Pending
      , or
      Superseded Standards
      .
    2. Use the fields available to narrow down your search and enter Codification information.
      The Superseded Standards search has two pages. Select
      Next
       to go to the second page.
    3. Enter any keywords you want to search for and select
      Search
       to see your results.
