Draft and send emails with CoCounsel for Outlook

This skill saves time by generating drafts based on your specified tone, relationship, and content preferences.
CoCounsel for Outlook helps users generate AI-powered email drafts tailored to your preferences. You can quickly and professionally reply with less effort.
If you prefer a video, follow the recorded steps to generate email responses.
  1. Select the email you want to reply to without selecting
    Reply
    or
    Reply All
    .
    note
    The skill operates directly from the view mode.
  2. Open the application by selecting its icon in the Outlook ribbon to begin drafting your reply.
  3. Select the
    Draft Email Reply
    skill and enter guidance for your reply in the 1st screen.
    Example
    For example, if you have permission to share customer metrics, you can write: “We have permission to do it. No form needed.”
  4. Choose from suggested responses or enter your own preferences to tailor the reply:
    • Tone (professional or casual)
    • Relationship (colleague or client)
    • Length (brief or comprehensive)
  5. Select
    Continue
    to generate the draft.
    CoCounsel creates a reply based on your prompts. Always review the AI-generated content before sending.
  6. Edit the draft inline or adjust its style to make it more detailed, creative, or casual while the meaning remains consistent.
  7. Review the history panel to track your selections and changes showing how the draft evolved.
  8. Copy the draft to your clipboard and paste it manually, or select
    Reply
    to open a window with the draft pre-filled and your signature and formatting preserved.
  9. Select
    Send
    to complete your quick, professional, and tailored reply.
