- TheDraft an Employment Policyworkflow lets you quickly and easily draft or update drug testing, family and medical leave, and paid sick leave policies, with future expanded employment policy coverage to come.
- TheDraft an Employment Policyworkflow uses Practical Law expertise and content to customize your policy based on the requirements you choose and provides information on the drafting choices made with links to Practical Law guidance.
Practice tips
- Select the workflow from the CoCounsel Library, or instruct CoCounsel in the chat: "I need to draft an employee policy."
- Use the dropdown to select aPolicy type. Options include:
- Drug Testing
- Family and Medical Leave
- Paid Sick Leave
- Choose betweenCreate policyorRevise existing policy.
- If you are revising an existing policy, use theUploadbutton to upload your policy document.
- In theCompany details and instructionsfield, include information to describe your company, such as employer name, number of employees, locations of employer and employees, along with any other details to help tailor your policy.
- SelectDraft policy.
- CoCounsel will draft an employment policy, which will contain links to a summary of changes, with notes on how CoCounsel has amended the Practical Law Standard Document or your uploaded policy, based on your instructions. For a policy based on your uploaded content, the changes will be redlined.
- The summary of changes further contains links to the underlying Practical Law resources that guided CoCounsel to make its drafting choices for ease of reference.
- You can download the policy with or without the summary of changes. If you choose to include the notes, they'll appear as comments in Microsoft Word.
Limitations to keep in mind
- This workflow may take a few minutes to run.
- The workflow requires a Practical Law subscription in addition to a CoCounsel subscription but is available to subscribed users in the CoCounsel user interface.
