note
The specific content within an individual users’ Conversation is not visible via this Metrics reporting.

How to access

From the navigation pane, administrators can select their
profile
Settings
Organization
.
Administrators will then find a
Metrics
option available under
Organization
settings.

Metrics tabs

Within the Metrics page, there are 4 tabs available:
  • Overview
  • Conversations
  • Messages
  • Usage
We’ll dive into each section. Also note that you can select the proper
Time Period
for each tab you are reviewing. The selected
Time Period
will narrow or widen the activity range, depending which
Time Period
option you select.
Overview tab:
The
Overview
tab highlights total Conversations, Messages, and Workspaces at your Company. This is a great way to get a high-level understanding of total CoCounsel usage and how that is trending over the Time Period selected. The green and red graph icons within the total Conversations, Total Messages, and Active Workspaces indicate the percent increase or decrease over the selected Time Period. In this case, Last 30 Days.
Conversations tab:
The
Conversations
tab lets administrators drill into individual usage, in addition to team usage. Administrators can also view individual/team usage by day and trends month over month. We recommend administrators use the Conversations tab to help identify staff who are using the tool well, as a resource for any newer staff or staff who are struggling to understand how to use the tool.
If you hover over Total Conversations, Messages per Conversation, or Avg. Conversation Duration, a descriptor will display more information on that stat.
Messages tab:
It's important to note that Messages refer to the individual Messages sent back and forth with CoCounsel within a specific Conversation. So, a user could have a single Conversation on Green Energy Credits, but have 20 Messages back and forth with CoCounsel to understand the topic. The Messages Tab is a great way for administrators to see how in-depth a User is getting with the CoCounsel tool. Multiple Messages per Conversation indicate that the User is digging into the research, applying it to additional follow-up questions, and more.
Usage tab:
The
Usage
tab lets administrators select a Type, Date Range, and Downloadable format to easily slice and dice the data how they want to view it. This can be helpful for anyone who is specifically responsible for driving AI usage at their firm or who brings product usage data to staff meetings or directly to leadership. Administrators can create pivots and customize the view from within the downloaded Excel or CSV export.

Metrics best practices

  1. Export the Usage reports to analyze and pivot the data that is most important to you and your firm.
  2. Focus on month over month trends to track the progress of CoCounsel usage as you start to engrain CoCounsel into your daily workflows.
  3. Dive into the average number of Messages per Conversation to maximize value from Conversations; while Conversations are great for simple research, there is additional value to unlock when asking follow-up questions, use Conversations to apply research to specific documents, and have CoCounsel create an output document like a technical memo.
