Groups and group permissions

Groups let you control access to company-level documents. Create different groups to manage which document sets specific users can access.

Access groups

To access your firm's groups, go to
Settings
Organization settings
Groups
.
Or you can select this direct link to open that page.

Manage groups

A group is a set of users who share access to specific documents and templates that are not available to others. We recommend creating separate groups if different teams or departments in your organization need access to distinct sets of company-level documents. Groups are not required if everyone at your firm needs the same document access.
Users can publish templates to their own group to share with other group members.
As an administrator, you can:
  • Create new groups
  • Add users to groups
  • Manage group settings and permissions
  • Delete groups (except the default group)
  • Manage users (bulk action available)
  • Export (bulk action available)
  • Delete (bulk action available)
Each organization begins with a default group. The system assigns users without group assignments to the default group.
note
You can't delete the default group.
