Customize your internal sources

Firms often maintain a curated set of internal materials: guidance, firm-specific research sources, policies, templates, prior workpapers, and more. These internal sources become critical when you want your team to reference specific sources relevant to a project or workflow.
CoCounsel lets you direct the system to perform research or complete tasks within only specific internal materials, ensuring answers reflect firm-approved standards.

Only firm admins can add sources to Company Documents. Users can upload items to their personal library in
My Documents
to leverage their own sources.
  1. Select the
    Knowledge Base
    icon on the navigation pane within CoCounsel to go to the
    Knowledge Base
    .
  2. Select
    Company Documents
    .
  3. Select
    Create Folder
    .

    You can drag and drop entire folders or files, from your device, directly into this page.
  4. Enter a name for the folder.
  5. Select
    Create
    .
  6. Upload all relevant firm sources to the new folder.

    • Organize by topic or engagement type to help your team find and use the right materials.
