Manage multiple office locations, EINs, and Practitioner PTINs

Office Locations:
Multi-location support is planned for future releases. Currently, you may need to use naming conventions or Client IDs to differentiate clients across locations.
EINs (Employer Identification Numbers):
To configure firm EIN information, go to
Tax Defaults
in the
General Information
section.
Practitioner PTINs:
To configure preparer information, including PTINs, go to
Tax Defaults

tip
  • Set up all firm preparers in Tax Defaults using unique codes (commonly initials).
  • Enter as much information about the preparer as possible to save time on data entry.
  • Use the assigned code to pull information about the preparer into individual returns automatically.
