Resolve diagnostics

Diagnostics provides you with step-by-step guidance to resolve each issue.

Access diagnostics

  1. Go to the
    Prepare
     tab.
  2. Select the
    Diagnostics
     sub-tab.
  3. Review the list of flagged items organized by category.

Resolve diagnostics

  1. Select a diagnostic to view details, including:
    1. Description
    2. Severity
    3. Resolution guidance
    4. Related forms
    5. Navigation help
  2. Review the description and recommended resolution steps.
  3. Go to the section of the organizer or return relevant to the diagnostic.
  4. Make the necessary corrections or additions following the guidance provided.
  5. Select
    Refresh diagnostics
    .

Diagnostic resolution workflow

  1. Address
    Critical diagnostics
     (such as Electronic Filing - Rejects and E-file XML Validation Errors).
  2. Review and resolve
    Recommended diagnostics
     (Severe and Electronic Filing - Alerts).
  3. Review
    Informational diagnostics
     for optimization opportunities.
  4. Refresh diagnostics after making changes to confirm resolution.
  5. Ensure all
    Critical diagnostics
     are resolved before approving for e-filing.
