Scanner and scan quality requirements

  • Use high-quality scanners or scanning apps
  • Resolution:
     300 DPI or higher
  • Color mode:
     Color or grayscale
  • File format:
     PDF (native PDFs preferred)

PDFs

  • Native PDFs
     (created digitally) provide the best extraction accuracy
  • Scanned PDFs
     (images converted to PDF) may have lower confidence levels
  • Ensure scans are clear, legible, and properly oriented
  • Avoid blurry, skewed, or low-resolution images
