Thomson Reuters secures all data in transit via TLS 1.2 and uses Symmetric encryption (AES-256) to protect data at rest. All interactions with third-party GenAI LLMs use 0 retention API calls.

User prompts are processed and hosted in the U.S.. All interactions with third-party GenAI LLMs are handled in the U.S. using an API that doesn’t store any data (zero-retention API).

Retention period for user content in CoCounsel Tax, Audit & Accounting

User content (conversations, documents, workspaces) is core application data, and will be kept throughout the lifetime of the account, unless manually deleted by the user. As a user of the product, you have control over any content you add to the tool. In addition, you have permission to access, correct, delete, and restrict processing of your data. As the data controller, you control how personal data is used, shared, and protected by us.
