Share a template

Share a template you own with another person at your firm so they can use it in their own personal library. Sharing saves you from rebuilding a good template from scratch and gives the recipient their own editable copy.
Follow these steps to share a template.
  1. Select
    Templates
from the navigation pane, then view a template you own.
  2. In the view template window, select
    Share
    .
  3. Search for and select the person you want to share the template with.
    note
You can only share templates with people at your firm.
  4. Select
    Share
    to send the template.
The shared template appears in the recipient's personal template library, marked
Shared by [your name]
in the template description.
The recipient gets their own copy and can use, edit, duplicate, or delete it like any other personal template.
Sharing a template that references documents:
If a template references documents only you have access to, share it only after the recipient gains access to those documents or you remove the references.
note
You can only share templates you own, meaning templates in your personal template library. Your original template stays in your personal template library, unchanged.
Sharing creates a copy for the recipient, not a live link, so the 2 templates are independent after you share.
If you later edit or delete your original, the recipient's copy doesn't change.
Only Group and Company administrators can add a shared template to Group or Company libraries using their existing administrator options.
