Check the validation status of records in a processed file

Learn about the validation rules that Data Hub applies and how to check the validation status of records after processing.
Data Hub applies 2 kinds of validation rules to data during processing:
  • Validate Classified Column Data
: If the Schematic has columns mapped to a Blueprint column classified as ONESOURCE Entity Code or Account Code, then data from that column should exist in Entities or Accounts under Administration.
  • Validate Column Type
: If the Schematic has columns with a specific data type or format, then the data in the column of the file upload should have a corresponding type or format.
  1. Select
    Data
    from the menu bar.
  2. Select the
    Processed
    tab.
  3. Find the row containing your processed Topic, then select the link from the Topic Name column.
  4. Select
    Refresh
to refresh the display of processed records.
    note
The records will continue to process through the system. You can move away from this screen or continue to select
    Refresh
until all the records are complete.
  5. Check the record's validation status.
    note
    • Ready
: records have expected fields and have passed the validation rules.
    • Unavailable
: records have expected fields, but validation rules found unknown values. For example, there are accounts missing from a field where account data is expected.
    • Invalid
: records that don't have expected fields or records that have an unsupported entry for a field.
    • Ignored
: records that are before the
      Start Row
      chosen in the template.
  6. To change the validation status of a record to
    Ignored
    , select the record, then
    Ignore Record
    .
    note
You can't change a record that has
    Ignored
status to any other validation status.
  7. To generate a CSV file with each data record along with any validations and enrichments from processing, select
    Download
    .
