Custom Forms lets you use Form Builder in Microsoft Word to embed specialized code in firm documents, such as client letters, intake sheets, and other forms.

Custom Forms help you work more efficiently by letting you embed specialized code into firm documents, such as client letters, intake sheets, and other forms, using our Form Builder tool.
Once installed, Custom Forms will appear under the Form Builder tab in Microsoft Word.
Use Custom Forms
To customize a form:
Open your desired form in Microsoft Word.
Select the
Form Builder
tab, then select
Custom Forms
.
Sign in with your Thomson Reuters Account username and password when prompted.
Install the new plugin
Before you begin:
Which plugin do you need?
OnePass users
: Continue using the old plugin (no action needed).
Thomson Reuters Account users
: Follow these instructions to switch to the new plugin.
Step 1: Uninstall the old plugin
If you have the previous version installed, remove it first:
Select Windows + R, enter control, and select
Enter
.
Select
Programs
, then
Uninstall a Program
.
Scroll through the list to locate
Custom Forms
.
Select
Custom Forms
and select the
Uninstall
option.
Complete the process and restart your computer when prompted.
Step 2: Install the new plugin
System Requirements
The following will be installed automatically if not already on your system:
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0
Microsoft Office Primary Interop Assemblies
Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime

Custom Forms is not compatible with Microsoft Word 2013 or 2016 if installed using
Microsoft Office Click-to-Run
.
Installation steps:
Run the installer as administrator.
Right-click the
Custom Forms
EXE file.
Select
Run as administrator
.

Running as administrator ensures proper installation and system permissions.
Complete the setup wizard.
The
Custom Forms Setup
window will appear.
Select the
Install
option to begin.
The installer will automatically add any required components.
Finish installation.
Once complete, Custom Forms is ready to use in Microsoft Word.
