Set user password requirements in e-Form RS

You can set the password requirements for the users in an account by enabling/disabling the following password options on the
Set User Options
 screen.
Require Strong Passwords
 - This option requires users to use at least 3 of the following character types when creating a password:
  • Lowercase letter
  • Number
  • Special Character
  • Uppercase letter
Change Passwords
 - This options lets you choose how frequently users are required to change their passwords.
note
Previous passwords can't be reused.
Force password change on initial login
 - This option prompts users to change their password after their first login.
Hide Password on My Users screen
 - This option keeps passwords hidden on the
My Users
 screen as a security measure.

Troubleshoot issues with a password

If a password isn't working, we recommend creating a password with the following parameters:
  • Make the password 12 characters in length.
  • Use at least 1 number.
  • Use 1 capital letter.
  • Use 1 special character.
    note
    We've identified an issue with the ampersand (&) and carat (^) characters. Don't use these characters in a password.
