Import clients' form data to e-Form RS

You can import multiple copies of a form to a client or import a form to multiple clients. Make sure you have 2013 Microsoft Access Database Engine (32-bit) installed.
  1. Create an Import Task
  2. Select
    File
    , then
    Import Client Data From Spreadsheet
    .
  3. Select
    Create Task
    .
  4. Select an Import Type
  5. Select one of the following that describes how the Excel spreadsheet datafile you will import is organized:
    • Multiple copies of 1 form per Client
    • One Row per Client
    • One Sheet per Client
  6. Select
    Next
    .
  7. If you chose multiple copies, enter the number of copies, choose whether the worksheet contains a header row, then select
    OK
    .
  8. Choose A Tax Form
  9. Select
    Browse
    and select the location of your datafile.
  10. Select the form, then
    Next
    .
  11. Link Datafile to Client
  12. Select your Excel datafile and the client, then select
    Add
    to link them. Repeat this step for each client and datafile that need to be linked.
  13. If you need to unlink Excel datafiles and clients, select the linked datafiles and clients combination, then
    Remove
    .
  14. Select
    Next
    .
  15. Map data to forms
  16. Select the linked datafiles and clients combination from the list, then
    Map Data to Form
    .
  17. Select a cell in the spreadsheet.
    The column that contains the selected cell is selected.
  18. Select a data entry field in the form.
    The data entry field of the form is linked to the selected spreadsheet column.
  19. Take the following steps if you want to test the linked data:
    1. Select
      Test Data
      .
      The data appears in the selected fields on the form.
    2. Select
      Coordinates
      to clear test data.
  20. Select
    Save Mapping
    .
  21. Enter a name for the form mapping, then select
    OK
    .
  22. Complete the mapping process for all the listed forms, then select
    Finish
    .
  23. Enter a name for the import task, then select
    OK
You can now run the import task, edit it, and delete it.
