Notification rules generate notifications when specific Engagement Manager events occur. These notifications appear when selecting
Notifications
.
Create notification rules
Follow these steps to add a notification rule in Engagement Manager.
In Engagement Manager, select the gear
Setup
, then
Notification Rules
.
Select
Add Rule
.
Mark the checkbox for the type of rule you want to create, then select
Next
.
Mark the checkbox for the action you want to be notified about, then select
Next
.
Optional: Mark the checkboxes and select the corresponding user or priority settings for any conditions you want to include for the notification rule. Select
Next
when you're finished.
Mark the checkboxes and select the roles and specific people you want to send the notifications to, then select
Next
.
Optional: Mark the checkboxes and select the corresponding user or priority settings for any exceptions you want to include for the notification rule. Select
Next
when you're finished.
Enter a name for the notification rule. Mark the
Public
checkbox if you want to make this rule available to all Engagement Manager users.
By default, rules are only visible to the user who creates them. You must have the
Add Public Rule
permission enabled to make a rule public. Administrators can assign the
Add Public Rule
security permission for users in the
Dashboard
tab of the Permission Groups screen.
Select
Done
.
Edit a notification rule
Follow these steps to edit a notification rule in Engagement Manager.
In Engagement Manager, select
Setup
, then
Notification Rules
.
Mark the checkbox for the notification rule you want to edit, then select
Edit
.
Make your edits to the notification rule and select
Save and close
when you're finished.
Delete a notification rule
Follow these steps to delete a notification rule in Engagement Manager.
In Engagement Manager, select the gear
Setup
, then
Notification Rules
.
Select the notification rule you want to delete, then trash can
