  2. Select
    Admin
    .

    Users

    Groups
    .

Available functionalities

You can perform the following actions when you use Engagement Manager in Virtual Office CS.
  • Open and edit Microsoft Excel and Word files.
  • Open and edit Guided Assurance files, when you are appropriately licensed for that application.
  • Open PDFs, PowerPoint files, Outlook messages, text documents, .HTML, .XML, and image files.
    • Virtual Office CS uses Adobe Acrobat Reader to view PDFs only. To apply edits and/or modify PDFs, such as annotations, you must do that locally with an installed and supported version of Adobe Acrobat Professional (or Standard).
note
  • Data conversions to Engagement Manager are not available on Virtual Office CS.
  • To convert to Engagement Manager from Engagement CS on Virtual Office CS or Software as a Service you must migrate the data locally.

Scan functionality

While working in Engagement Manager within Virtual Office CS, you will not be able to use the
Scan
functionality. We recommend that you open Google Chrome from your local computer and install the Dynamic Web TWAIN.
To install the Dynamic Web TWAIN:
  1. In Engagement Manager, go to
    Setup
    .
  2. Select
    Downloads
    , then choose
    Dynamic Web TWAIN
    .
  3. When the download is done, follow the instructions on the screen to install the Dynamic Web TWAIN.
Keep the checkboxes unmarked in the Optional addon features for Web TWAIN SDK screen, then select
    Skip
    .
After installing the Dynamic Web TWAIN, you'll be able to scan workpapers directly into the engagement binder.
