Link a new engagement in PPC's SMART Practice Aids to Engagement Manager
If you're licensed for PPC's SMART Practice Aids, you can link to Engagement Manager engagements in SMART Practice Aids.
Follow these steps to link to Engagement Manager when you create a new client engagement in SMART Practice Aids.
- Make sure that an engagement has been set up in Engagement Manager for the correct client and period ending date.
- In SMART Practice Aids, selectFile, thenNew Engagement.
- Enter and select the following:
- Engagement Manager client name
- Name for the SMART engagement
- Engagement period ending date that matches the Engagement Manager engagement
- Engagement type for the audit
- SelectNext.
- Select the PPC Practice Aid title you want to use to create the SMART engagement, thenNext.
- SelectRisk AssessmentandField Work.
- SelectEngagement Manager, thenLink Engagements.
- Sign in with your Engagement Manager credentials, select the client, thenNext.
- Select the engagement you want to link, thenLink.When prompted to create SMART Docs, we recommend that you complete your planning and audit program creation in SMART Practice Aids and create SMART Docs later. This will help you keep your work in sync, because all of your decisions will be made within SMART. You'll create SMART Docs later and store the completed PPC planning forms and audit programs in the linked engagement in Engagement Manager. The final workpapers will then be ready for signoff in Engagement Manager during the preparation and review signoff process. Also note that you can modify these workpapers in SMART Practice Aids at any time.
The linked SMART Practice Aid client will now display in the Content tab of the Engagement Properties of the linked Engagement Manager engagement.
