Set up a fund hierarchy
Engagement Manager organizes your fund data into the following hierarchy: (I) Category, (II) Type, (III) Fund, (IV) Subfund.
Follow these steps to set up a fund hierarchy for a fund template in Engagement Manager.
note
- You can use duplicate subfund codes that are used in separate funds. For example, you could reuse a subfund with code "10" for a cash account in separate funds. All other set data, including fund codes, type names, and category names, must be unique throughout all of your firm's fund templates.
- The number of characters in funds and subfunds must match the mask.
- If you include subfund data, Engagement Manager requires that you include it for all funds. If a specific fund doesn't require a subfund, you'll need to enter a subfund placeholder.
