Enable confirmations in Engagement Manager
With banking confirmation tools integrated with Guided Assurance and Engagement Manager, you can:
- Manage client accounts.
- Send in-network confirmation requests.
- View and track the status of requests.
- Save completed confirmation and reports as Workpapers.
- Complete audit confirmations from your engagement management solution.
You can enable confirmations within Engagement Manager either when you add a new engagement or edit an existing one in Engagement Manager.
- For a new engagement:
- In Engagement Manager, selectAdd new engagement.
- In Step 2 of the process, turn onEnable Confirmation.
- Complete the process to add the engagement.
- For an existing engagement:
- SelectOpen engagements.
- Choose the client, then the engagement to add it to yourEngagement dashboard.
- Double-click the name of the engagement to view it.
- Select theProperties
tab from the navigation pane. - Select theContenttab.

Provide authorization and complete confirmation
Authorization
When you enable Confirmation within an Engagement Manager engagement, you'll need to give permission and connect the engagement with the correct Confirmation client. Enter the email address associated with your Confirmation account.
One time, you'll need to go into the profile settings of the Confirmation application to grant Engagement Manager access.
To do this:
- SelectUser Profile, selectSettings.
- SelectEngagement Managerfrom the 3rd Party Authorization dropdown, then selectSave.
- Return to Engagement Manager and selectOk.
- Then, select the client. Only Confirmation clients for which you are the lead auditor will be available to you in Engagement Manager.
Once the Confirmation client has been successfully linked to the Engagement Manager engagement, you'll be able to add, edit, and delete accounts, manage signers, create requests from the
Confirmations
tab. In the Confirmations
tab of the Engagement Manager engagement, all active and inactive clients will be listed, and you can add, edit, or delete from the Actions
column.note
Only in-network accounts can be managed or added in Engagement Manager. Sign into Confirmation to add and manage any out of network accounts.
Complete confirmations
Confirmation requests that you have sent or that have been shared with you, can be viewed from the Status tab or the Confirmation tab. To quickly save completed confirmations to the Engagements Workpapers from the Confirmations tab, be sure to:
- In theActionscolumn, selectMore.
- SelectSaveto Workpapers.
The completed confirmation or the control log will be added to the top of the workpaper tree.
