Transfer engagement data from Guided Assurance

You can use the following steps to transfer engagement data from Guided Assurance into Engagement Manager.

Create a transfer file in Guided Assurance

  1. Open a Guided Assurance engagement.
  2. Select
    Properties
    , then select
    Guided Assurance properties
    from the dropdown menu.
    note
    This file consists of workpapers from Guided Assurance only.
  3. Select
    Create transfer file
    from the Guided Assurance Setup menu, then select
    Continue
    .
    note
    The transfer file is a copy of the Guided Assurance data which is retained in Guided Assurance.
  4. Enter a name for the transfer file.
  5. Select
    Download
    to create the file in your Downloads folder.

Import the transfer file into Engagement Manager

  1. Add a new engagement with Guided Assurance as the source.
  2. Double-click the name of your new engagement to view it.
  3. On the
    Guided Assurance setup is pending
    message, select
    click here to begin
    .
  4. Sign in to Guided Assurance.
  5. On the
    Guided Assurance Setup
    window, select
    Import an existing engagement
    , then
    Continue
    .
  6. Choose
    Guided Assurance Transfer File
    from the
    Source
    dropdown list.
  7. Use
    Browse
    or drag and drop to select your transfer file.
  8. Select
    Next
    to complete Step 2 of the import.
  9. Select
    Refresh
    to view the Imported Documents folder.
note
The transfer folders and files are contained in one folder (Imported Documents).
The entire folder structure is retained from Guided Assurance when the transfer file is imported into Engagement Manager.
Workpaper-level signoffs are not imported from Guided Assurance.
