If PPC documents in Microsoft Word 2013 and higher are not available for editing, it may be due to setting in Word. Complete the following to edit PPC documents in Microsoft Word.
In Microsoft Word, select File, then Options.
Select the General tab.
Verify the
Open e-mail attachments and other uneditable files in reading view
checkbox is cleared.
In the Trust Center tab, select
Trust Center Settings
.
Select Trusted Location and verify that C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\PPC location is listed.
If it is not listed as a Trusted Location:
Select
Add new location
Select
Browse
.
Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\PPC and select OK.
Mark the
Subfolders of this location are also trusted
checkbox.
Select OK to save your changes.
If you are still experiencing the problem with PPC Word documents that do not allow editing, go to your Control Panel, then select Programs and Features. Find Checkpoint Tools for PPC on the list of programs installed and then right-click to run the Repair option.
