Archive Options dialog [File menu]

Use the
Archive Options
dialog to create, to delete, restore, or repair an archive. Before you archive documents, enter a new volume label to specify whether FileCabinet CS will append the archive to an existing volume or begin a new volume.

This dialog also allows you to enter comments about the archive.
To open the
Archive Options
dialog, choose
File
Archive
.

Create archive
Select this option to create an archive.
Delete archive
If you want to delete an archive volume, select this option and then select the
Continue
button to open the
Delete Archive
dialog.
note
Deleting an archive volume deletes only its associated volume icons and archive history, not archived data. Archived data from a deleted volume remains in the archive location and can be restored later.
Restore archive
If you want to restore an archive volume, select this option and then select the
Continue
button to open the
Restore Archive
dialog.
Repair archive
If you want to repair an archive volume, select this option and then select the
Continue
button to open the
Archive Repair
dialog.
Create Archive
Append the archive to this volume
Select this option to add the new archive to an existing archive volume.

This option is not available if there are no archives in the designated archive location. You can view the settings for the current archive location in the
Archive
tab of the
System Configuration
dialog.
Volume field
This field shows the currently selected volume label or ID.
Volume button
Select this button to open the
Select Volume
dialog.
Begin a new volume with this archive
Select this option to begin a new volume.
Volume label
Enter a name for the volume in this field.
Volume comment
Use this field to add comments about the archive.
