Add Database Data Location dialog

Use this dialog to create a database data location and to open the
Copy Drawers
 dialog, where you can copy drawer data to the new location to convert data from standard to database format.
This dialog opens when you select the
Next
 button in the
Data Location Format
 dialog with the
Database format
 option selected.

Fields & buttons

Enter the database server where the FileCabinet CS database will reside
Enter the name of a database server or select a database server from this field.
Enter the database name
Enter the database location, select a location from this field, or browse to a database. You can also select a database in this field when editing the name of a database.
note
If you're running FileCabinet CS in the Virtual Office CS or SaaS environment, you can navigate to files on your local network.
Enter the alias for this data location
Enter a description of the data location in this field.
Open Copy Drawers dialog after adding new data location
Mark this checkbox to open the
Copy Drawers
 dialog, where you can copy drawers from other data locations into the new data location. Data that is not formatted for the new data location is converted to the appropriate format during the copy process.
