Adding and maintaining document, image, and object names in a custom list

You can save the names of documents, images, image groups, and embedded objects in a custom list to ensure consistent document naming and to avoid re-entering frequently used document names. When you save a document in FileCabinet CS, you can use a default name or you can choose a name from the custom list. Custom names appear in a drop-down list in the following dialogs:
System Configuration > Document Names tab

Saving document names to a custom list when storing documents in FileCabinet CS from other Windows applications

  1. Open one of the dialogs used for storing images in FileCabinet CS (refer to the previous list).
  2. Enter a document name.
  3. Select Add to list button that shows a yellow plus sign on it.
tip
You can also press CTRL+S while the cursor is in the name field to save the name to the custom list.

Saving document names to the custom list from within FileCabinet CS

  1. Choose
    Setup
    System Configuration
    and select the
    Document Names
    tab.
  2. Select the
    Add
    button below the
    Document names
    pane.
  3. Enter a name and select the
    Enter
    button.
  4. Repeat steps 1 - 3 for each name you want to add to the list.
  5. Select
    OK
    .

Editing document names from within FileCabinet CS

  1. Choose
    Setup
    System Configuration
    and select the
    Document Names
    tab.
  2. Highlight the name you want to edit in the
    Document names
    list.
  3. Select the
    Edit
    button below the
    Document names
    pane.
  4. Select the name and click the
    Enter
    button.
  5. Select
    OK
    .

Deleting document names from the custom list.

  1. Choose
    Setup
    System Configuration
    and select the
    Document Names
    tab.
  2. Highlight the name you want to delete in the
    Document names
    list.
  3. Select the
    Delete
    button below the
    Document names
    pane.
  4. the
    Yes
    button when asked to confirm the deletion of the document name.
  5. OK
