Copy Drawers dialog [File menu]

Use this dialog to copy drawers from the current data location to another data location.
note
To use this dialog, your firm must have more than one data location.
To open this dialog, choose
File
Copy Drawers
or mark the
Open Copy Drawers dialog
checkbox in the
Add Database
,
Data Location
, or
Add Data Location
dialogs after adding a data location.

Fields & buttons

Destination location
From this drop-down list, choose the data location to which you want to copy drawers.
Drawers available to copy
Shows a list of all drawers available to copy.
To sort the list by drawer ID or name, select the words
Drawer ID
or
Drawer Name
in the title bar of the list pane.
Drawers to copy
Shows the drawers you have selected to be copied to the chosen data location. To copy the selected drawers, select the
Copy
button.
To sort the list by drawer ID or name, select the words

in the title bar of the list pane.
Focus
Focus checkboxes
If you have assigned statuses to your drawers, you can mark or clear the status checkboxes in the
Focus
section to focus the Drawer list by status.
Options
Automatically create folders
Mark this checkbox to add custom folders to the destination location during the copy process.
Enable application lock during copy process (all other users must exit FileCabinet CS and integrated applications)
Mark this checkbox to keep other users from accessing FileCabinet CS during the copy process.
Copy documents from selected folders only
Mark this checkbox to copy to the destination location all documents from folders that you select. The
Select Folders
dialog opens automatically when you select this checkbox.
This action will overwrite all data in destination drawers that correspond with the drawers that you select.
Move documents from selected folders only
Mark this checkbox to move to the destination location all documents from folders that you select. The
Select Folders
dialog opens automatically when you click this checkbox.
This action will overwrite all data in destination drawers that correspond with the drawers that you select.
Select Folders
Use this button to re-open the
Select Folders
dialog, where you can update your folder selections as needed.

Move documents from selected folders only
