Cannot open document for editing. It is already being edited.
If you try to open an embedded object (such as a live Word or Excel document) within FileCabinet CS that is already open, you will get an error message letting you know that the document is locked.

Can't open[document name]for editing. It is already being edited by[username]...
If you have determined that no one is actually editing that document, you can clear the lock:
- Choose .
- In theFile Lockstab, select theEmbedded object locksoption.
- Highlight the lock and select theDelete Lockbutton.
- SelectDoneto exit theRepairdialog. You should now be able to open the document.

If you still get the error message, navigate to
X:\WinCSI\FcabData
(or the appropriate data location for this drawer), open the folder for that drawer, and delete the Lockole.cc$
file.
