Error: File conversion engine failed

Scenario

You may see this error when you choose one of the following menu commands in FileCabinet CS.
File
Send To
File
File
Send To
Email Recipient
File conversion engine failed

Solutions

Perform one of the following actions to resolve this error.
  • Choose a
    Destination
    location other than your local
    C:
    drive.
  • Create a folder on the
    C:
    drive and select it as the
    Sent to
    destination.
  • Verify that a supported version of Adobe Reader is installed.
Internal use only
If the user is getting this error when selecting File > Send To > Email Recipient and they have a supported version of Adobe Reader installed, then try to toggle the PDF Reader in Add-Ons. Open Microsoft Edge and go to Tools > Manage Add-ons and toggle on and off the PDF reader then try again.
