Using the FCABBG.LOGCSI log to identify problems uploading to Document Presentation
Scenario
FileCabinet CS uses this log file to identify issues specific to uploading documents to Document Presentation using CS Connect Background Services. A Technical Support Representative may request that you do the following steps to help identify the cause of a problem.

This log file is not available for FileCabinet CS on the Virtual Office CS or Software as a Service (SaaS) environment.
Solution
- Navigate toX:\WinCsi\Cabinet(where X is the drive letter where the application is installed) in Windows Explorer or My Computer.
- ChooseFile>New>Text Document, and name the documentfcabbg.logcsi.noteIf you are not prompted to confirm that you want to change the filename extension, the file was not properly renamed. ChooseTools>Folder Options>Viewand verify that theHide known file extensionscheckbox is not marked so that you can see the filename extension for all files.
- Right-click thefcabbg.logcsifile you just created, and chooseProperties.
- On theSecuritytab, verify that theEveryonegroup is listed and hasFull control. If Everyone is not listed, add a new group as follows.
- Select theEditbutton below the Group or user names pane.
- In thePermissionsdialog, select theAddbutton, enterEveryonein theEnter the object names to selectfield, and then selectOK.
- Mark theAllowcheckbox forFull controlin the Permissions for Everyone pane, and then selectOK.
- In thePropertiesdialog, selectOKto save the new group.
Create the log file as follows:
- Open FileCabinet CS.
- Wait for the CS Connect Background Services to upload documents to NetClient CS and for it to show in Event History.
- Email the file to the Technical Support Representative assisting you.
- After you have sent the file to your Support Representative, delete the file fromX:\WinCsi\Cabinet. If you don't delete the file, it can affect FileCabinet CS's performance.

This log file will capture information only when using CS Connect Background Services to push documents to NetClient CS. If you transmit drawers manually through CS Connect, the log file will not capture the process.
