FileCabinet CS document types

Documents are pages or groups of pages that are stored in FileCabinet CS and organized into various folders. Images that are copied in as graphics files or scanned directly into FileCabinet CS are also considered documents.
The folders window contains icons that represent various types of documents. The following documents are available in FileCabinet CS. To view document descriptions, select any of the following icons.

Pages from other applications shows blue pages
Pages stored in FileCabinet CS from another CS Professional Suite application such as UltraTax CS or Accounting CS, or pages that were re-filed from within FileCabinet CS.
Image within the application shows images on the button
This icon represents an image. An image is a graphics file that was copied or scanned directly into FileCabinet CS.

Graphic file extensions supported in FileCabinet CS include BMP, ICO, JFIF, JPEG, JPG, PBM, PCD, PCX, PGM, PNG, PPM, RAS, TARGA, TGA, TIF, and TIFF.
Image group shows blues pages with images on them
A collection of images that were copied or scanned directly into FileCabinet CS.

Multi-page TIF files cannot be added to image groups.
OCR image group pending shows blue pages with images on them and a red exclamation point on the left of the icon
An image group that contains items that were sent for source-document processing and have not yet been retrieved via CS Connect .

An image group that contains items for which source-document processing has been completed but that have not yet been exported to UltraTax CS.
Embedded document shows a pdf, word, and envelope icons
Documents that are embedded into FileCabinet CS. Each icon represents the source application for the file. Icons shown are from a PDF file and a DOC file that was created in Microsoft Word.
Pages printed to the application
Pages printed to FileCabinet CS using the FileCabinet CS print driver. When the source application can be determined by FileCabinet CS, the icon will represent the logo of the source application (like the Microsoft Word icon shown).
Embedded documents from web organizer shows as a spider web
Embedded HTML documents or file attachments that were retrieved with a Web Client Organizer.
Page with notes shows as a page and a musical note next to it
Pages that include page notes.

You cannot add page notes to embedded objects
