Before you start

- Locate thefcab_migration_installer.en_us.msifile on your computer, open the file, and follow the steps in the setup wizard to install the FileCabinet CS migration tool.
- In FileCabinet CS, choose .
- In the window that opens, enter your Onvio credentials and selectContinue.

- Use theSelect Allbutton to move all available drawers to the right pane, or choose some drawers in theDrawers availablepane and then use theSelectbutton to move drawers to the right pane.
- (Optional) in theFocus groupbox, you can filter the drawers that appear in theDrawers availablepane by marking the checkboxes forActive,Inactive,Defunct, orPreviously Migrated Drawers.noteBy default, FileCabinet CS does not show previously migrated drawers in theDrawers availablepane. If you choose to migrate a drawer to Onvio that was already migrated, any duplicate files for those clients will be overwritten in Onvio.
- Mark the appropriate checkboxes in theOptions groupbox. You can use these options together to choose a date range and then choose specific folders that you want to include within the selected date range.
- Export documents from selected folders only.Mark this checkbox to open a window to choose to include all folders in a specified date range or to include specific folders. You can use theSelect Foldersbutton to open the window again to make changes before continuing.
- Include Annotations:Mark this checkbox to retain all annotations in the migration process. After migration, annotations become permanent components of their associated documents.
- Select theContinuebutton to start the migration process.
Conflicts
If any client data you import is similar to but does not exactly match data that already exists in Onvio, it'll be flagged as a conflict. You'll need to decide how to handle those conflicts before the migration is considered complete.
- To view conflicts, select in Onvio.
- SelectFileCabinet CS.
- For each conflict listed, select the plus sign to expand details on the conflict.
- SelectCreate new recordorUse this record.
- SelectSubmit resolved conflictswhen you're finished. You can submit at any time and come back to finish making your selections; you don't need to choose what to do with every conflict at once. However, you cannot start another migration until all conflicts have been addressed.
Next steps
- Migrate another product, if you plan to.
- Review your migrated data in Onvio.
