Limit changes to existing FileCabinet CS data

This is not a true Read Only mode. These steps can be recommended in select scenarios to limit changes made to FileCabinet CS data.

Follow these steps to limit changes to existing data in FileCabinet CS.

Enable Enhanced Security in FileCabinet CS. Go to

Setup
System Configuration
Security
Enter or Create Master Password

and mark the box to Enable advanced User/Group Security
.

Go to the Groups
tab and create a group called

All Users

.

Under Document Privilege
change the settings to Restrict
for all options.

Under Delete
change the settings to Restrict
for all options.

Under Drawer
change Rename Drawers
to Restrict
.

Under Document Folders
change Add/Edit
, Delete
and Drawer Subfolders
to Restrict
.

Select OK
to save.

On the

Users

tab edit each user so they are a member of that group only. (We recommend keeping one user as an $Administrator)
