FileCabinet CS Keyboard Shortcuts

Some FileCabinet CS commands are assigned keyboard shortcuts that allow you to quickly execute the command.
Key Combination
Result
CTRL+N
Opens the dialog in which you can add a drawer.
CTRL+L
Closes the current drawer.
ALT+W
Opens the selected drawer.
F2
Renames the selected document.
CTRL+P
Opens the dialog in which you can select documents to print for the open drawer.
CTRL+C
Copies the selected document or annotation to memory.
CTRL+X
Cuts the selected document or annotation but retains it in memory.
CTRL+T
Moves to the next image with OCR data (if licensed for source-document processing) for which acceptance or rejection is pending.
CTRL+V
Pastes a document or annotation stored in memory into the current drawer or document.
CTRL+ALT+1
Prints the current page.
ALT+Left Arrow
Moves back to previously viewed document.
ALT+Right Arrow
Moves forward to previously viewed document.
Page Down
Moves down the page, or to the next page if already at the bottom.
Page Up
Moves up the page, or to the previous page if already at the top.
CTRL+R
Rotates the displayed image 90 degrees counterclockwise.
CTRL+M
Cycles the zoom magnification of the displayed item.
CTRL+F
Opens the Find dialog, where you can use keywords to search for documents.
CTRL+S
  • Saves a document name to a customized list when in system configuration dialogs or specific dialogs that are used to store images in FileCabinet CS.
  • Shows the Documents pane of the FileCabinet CS report preview window.
CTRL+SHIFT+D
Inserts the current date into the Drawer Notes section (when cursor is in Drawer Notes).
CTRL+SHIFT+T
Inserts the date/time into the Drawer Notes section (when cursor is in Drawer Notes).
CTRL+SHIFT+U
Inserts the user ID into the Drawer Notes section (when cursor is in Drawer Notes).
CTRL+0-9
Applies annotations stored in the Stamp Library. You must assign these key combinations using the Annotation Stamp Library dialog.
SHIFT+F10
When a text annotation is selected, opens a context menu from which you can choose Undo, Cut, Copy, Paste, Delete, and Select All commands.
CTRL+K
Opens the CS Connect dialog in which you can download and transmit data to our network of secure data centers.
CTRL+J
Opens the FileCabinet CS Home page
CTRL+H
Hides the Documents pane of the FileCabinet CS report preview window.
CTRL+E
Expands all pages in the Documents pane of the FileCabinet CS report preview window.
CTRL+O
Collapses the pages in the Documents pane of the FileCabinet CS report preview window.
+ on the keypad
Expands the drawer selected in the Folders window.
- on the keypad
Collapses the drawer selected in the Folders window.
* on the keypad
Expands all folders, subfolders, multiple-page documents, and image groups in the Folders window.
