Adding users for advanced security

Follow this procedure only if your firm uses advanced security options.
  1. Choose
    Setup
    System Configuration
    and enable advanced user/group security, if not already enabled.
  2. Enter the master password.
  3. Go to the
    Users
    tab.
  4. Select the
    Add User
    button.
  5. Enter a user ID.
    note
    FileCabinet CS uses the user ID from your firm's network as the new user ID unless you are accessing FileCabinet CS through Virtual Office CS or SaaS environments.
    If you are accessing FileCabinet CS through Virtual Office CS or SaaS, FileCabinet CS uses the first and last name of the current portal as the user ID.
  6. Do one of the following:
    • Mark the checkbox for each group to which the user should belong.
    • Copy group membership from another user by selecting the
      Copy membership from user
      option and selecting a user from the adjacent drop-down list.
  7. Select
    OK
